My family and I traveled to Sydney and Melbourne, Australia for the 2014 International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Oct. 17-19. During my stay I discovered just how pleasantly diverse Australia’s animals, architecture and people are. Take a look.!
First stop is the Healesville Zoo…
A baby dingo. He was so sweet. a Koala mama & her baby Hazel
A wallaby: Better known as a mid-sized marsupial belonging to the kangaroo family.
I also got to feed parrots. They were so beautiful up close. 😍
Melbourne, Australia reminded me of a typical big city with its architecture…
🎡An arcade hall.Eye catching details. Their little China town 🉐One day I traveled all through Melbourne & did tons of sightseeing thanks to their free trams (we call them trolleys/trains) that run on overheard powerlines through the city. It was an adventurous day!
But the next few days were even better because I spent them with friends from all over the world who were also delegates at the 2014 International Convention…
The Aussie friends made banners for us.
Over 70,000 JWs at Etihad Stadium in Australia
We truly are a worldwide family 🙂
I loved the kids in Australia. They were so nice & really funny. Fiona (left) & Isabelle (right)The Benny family took us out in service. The weather changes very quickly so they taught us to bring scarves & jackets along with us everywhere.
This brother lovingly drove us around in service. Driving on the opposite side of the. road was weird but fun.
And last but not least…I loved the food in Australia.
One family served us wine & swordfish salad. It was delicious 😋
The cutest cupcake ever! #JW
Australia was an awesome 2 week trip. I wish I had more pictures to post but I got sick the last few days of the trip. 😦 But it was a small price to pay for the great memories I made in the land down under.
